100% cotton, 195gr/m, size 6
I got this wrap last week in loom-state and it felt already fairly soft straight from the box, after a wash and a nice steam iron, she was ready to carry my babies.
For those of you who know me, know I love bright colors and this would not have been my personal color pick, but, and a huge but, it is really pretty and so classy! I love how easy it is to differentiate the top from the bottom rail thanks to the gradient colors, which makes this a great teaching wrap for babywearing educators. The colors look like they are floating in to each other without making a stop to change colors, from dark grey to light grey, which I like very much. This wrap has been released a few days ago in 5 different colors, all very bright and cheerful with moonstone, being the classy monochrome sister.
When I first wrapped my little girl with this wrap, it wasn't broken in yet so it was a bit difficult to get a nice, tight and even chestpass. But after 1 walk it was allready much softer. This is a very thin wrap with minimal stretch to it, it has a great amount of grip but once broken in completely (which doesn't take a lot of time) it also has a little bit of glide. It's a nice forgiving wrap that wraps without a lot of effort. But if you want a firm, perfect looking chestpass in your DH you will need to know how to tighten strand by strand. Which again makes it a good wrap for beginners to learn about tightening strand by strand.
This wrap is to me a great wrap for newborns but might be a little thin to carry big kids like my 4 year old. As it's very thin it doesn't give a lot of cush to my shoulders which I do need a little when carrying my 4 year old.
Then, for experienced wrappers who like to fancy up their wrapjob, this is the wrap you have been looking for, thin, easy to handle, and so so fancy, ad some M- or S-size rings and you got yourself a fancy smancy wrapjob.
I have tried a lot of wraps from soulslings and will try and give you a little comparison between, soul's linen wrap, soul's handwoven and this gradient wrap.
linen goldfinch wrap: 220gr/m
cotton handwoven paprika wrap: 222gr/m
cotton moonstone wrap: 195gr/m
They all feel thin in hand, with goldfinch feeling the thinnest, very closely followed by moonstone and then paprika.
All these wraps have minimal stretch to them, with goldfinch being the sturdiest of the 3 and paprika having the most stretch (which is still very minimal)
For glide and grip, paprika has the most grip of these 3 followed by moonstoon and with goldfinch having a nice amount of glide, with not that much grip.
As I said before all of these wraps are very thin, but the most cush I got from paprika, followed by goldfinch and last with the least cush is moonstone.
The weather is not fantastic here for the moment so I can't talk about how airy these wraps are compared to each other, but If I need to make a guess, I'd say goldfinch would be your best choice for hot weather wearing followed by moonstone and ending with paprika.

I hope you enjoyed this little review and like always here are a few pictures. Taken by Miriam Valognes of mixing little things.
And a quick selfie of a fancy finish with a few size M slingrings
