Here a quick review of our coton soulslings meh dai, just because we love it so much.
I never saw the attraction for meh dai's, I tried a couple but never found them very comfortable. That is, until I tried soulslings's meh dai. I use it almost every day with my little miss of almost 5 months. I started using my meh dai when she was 3.5 months old. I put the meh dai on apron style which makes the backpanel a little smaller to use with little ones (check out the picture of this apron style below). Cause there is no leg padding it's easy to fit smaller babies in it with a seat that would normally be to big for them without it hurting their legs and still making a nice fitted seat. With my little miss I cross the tails over her legs and don't go under her legs so I don't create extra pressure, if you have a legstraightner I would recommend to make your cross pass under their legs.
I also used it a couple of times with my 3 year old and love it with him aswell, it fits him very good even at 3 years of age. The fabric is very supportive and I don't find it saggy or uncomfortable with my big boy, even for longer amounts of time wearing him the fabric stays nicely in place and thanks to the padding in the shoulderstraps it's nice and cushy on my shoulders.
The soulslings meh dai has no padding on the waistbelt, no legpadding but has a nice amount of shoulderpadding. A hood is attached to the carrier with reachstraps that attach to the shoulderstraps through 2 little loops. It's also possible to fold open the fabric on the shoulderstraps which is great if you like wearing with cupped shoulders.
I also have a wrapconversion mehdai from soulslings (which you can see below in the pictures) I find this one a bit thicker and heavier. I personally like the cotton one better for little babies.
What I love about soulslings's meh dai is that you can use it for a very big age range.
Below you can also find a little video on how I fold my meh dai, there are many different ways to fold a meh dai but this is my preferred way. Hope you like it.
And now it's picture time, enjoy :)
